Pro DJ With Bose Speakers

BOSELogo Pro DJ With An iPod and Bose Speakers Home Electronics.Last month a catering hall manager told me about a DJ who recently entertained a wedding with 2 small Bose Speakers and an iPod. Although the idea of this was humorous and sparked a cynical conversation between me and the catering hall manager, it had encouraged me to do a little more thinking about the future of DJ'ing.

The person who DJ'ed that wedding was most likely an amateur (i.e. a friend or family member with some Bose home Speakers and an mp3 player full of music). How would I know that? This particular hall in NJ is enormous and usually needs a couple of 12"-15" Speakers with subwoofers to get the right sound. 2 Bose speakers, although impressive in clarity and quality, would not do the job effectively. Unfortunately for this DJ, it was a losing battle from the start. However, the Bose system may have been sufficient in some other catering halls, which scares me out of my mind as a professional DJ.

Over the last few years, we have been losing business, mainly small parties, to people who think they can DJ with an iPod and a set of Bose speakers. While we still entertain hundreds of weddings a year, corporate events, Sweet 16's, Bar-Bat Mitvahs, and other large events, technology is essentially slowly putting us out of business.

Since technology is becoming so accessible and simple to learn, people are asking their brothers, cousins, aunts, or mothers to play music for parties. While my rich uncle still hires DJ's for his kid's and grandkid's birthday parties, most people are looking to save money and cut corners where they can. While a good DJ usually costs between 500 and 1000 dollars, people would rather hire cousin mark with his iPod and computer speakers and pay a fraction of the cost. However, you get what you pay for.

DJ's are able to fill event halls with crisp sounds and heart pounding bass frequencies using their heavy 15" speakers on poles and Sub woofers sitting on the floor. Setting up for an event can be tedious and backbreaking. Not only is the equipment expensive, but it is also hard to lug around and transport. This is why most people don't even consider becoming DJ's. However, technology is about to change that.

Bose has developed THIN tower speakers with incredible power and clarity. These speakers in addition to the Bose high powered sub woofer can provide high quality sound to almost any hall. I think big 15" DJ speakers will be a thing of the past. I think large DJ systems are going to be replaced by small laptops and small speakers. Unfortunately, like the photography industry where with many people think they are professional photographers just because they have a 12 megapixel camera, many people will think they are pro DJ's just because they own an iPod and a set of Bose speakers.

Luckily for us, we are artists and performers. Great Speakers and an iPod mean nothing if you are playing the Chicken Dance at Club event or the Hokey Pokey at a wedding, you get my point. I know that real DJ's who are trained in programming great set -lists and MC'ing, will come through victoriously. Eventually, all the cousin Marks will fade into the background as serious DJ's are seen for their true qualities. And while I continue to lug around my 100 pound system to each and every gig, I am anxiously awaiting the day when I get my new lightweight, easy to transport, easy to plug in, and play on my new Bose system.

Guide in Buying Bose Speaker

BOSELogo Your Guide in Buying Bose Speakers : Home Electronics Surround Sound Speakers.I bet you've always wanted to purchase Bose speakers but just avoiding it because you always think that you will spend a fortune when you buy them. And I bet you will be so relieved when you find out that you can actually afford them! So what's really keeping you from getting your own? You are just too afraid to check it out. Don't hold your happiness now.

It's no doubt that Bose speakers are the best known brand in the world. A lot of people prefer this because they have never failed their customers who have tried their product. So when it comes to Speaker brand, Bose already has a good name and a great reputation to many people. Bose is known for its performance and technology that any other brand can never beat.

I know you're excited but before you go to a store and get your first Bose speakers, you can also try to check the second hand products first. You might be afraid and maybe you are not really sure about getting used speakers. I will give you several key points that you can follow in looking for second had Bose equipment.
Check if the technology and design is still in line with the latest ones in the market. If they are, then maybe you can take a closer look. You might find the features very similar to that of the new ones. But move away from those which are really outdated. I mean, you can really tell from the way it looks, right? You should also consider the connection requirements if you get second hand speakers. In other words, those speakers have to keep up with the new trend. Be sure not too get very old models because that might give you a headache in the future when it comes to upgrades and repairs. Why do you want to buy a smaller Speaker system? If it's plainly for aesthetic reasons then you might want to change your mind about it. You might be looking for high performance in the future. You might also want to get advice from the ones who have experience when it comes to speakers. They can be repair agents, or anyone who has enough knowledge on what you need to know. Try to get their viewpoint before you make your big decision. I have also heard from consumers that they were dissatisfied by second hand products. But I also have the conclusion that they probably failed to make a closer look before they purchased the product. It's not really easy because it involves a lot of your time and attention but if you follow my tips carefully, then maybe you will also be successful in selecting the right one. Always remember that it doesn't hurt to be extra careful. Think of getting items that you can still enjoy for a long time.

Best Surround Sound Speakers

Bose901 The Best Surround Sound Speakers Ive Ever Heard Home Electronics : BOSE.I have been playing around with electronics for as long as I can remember and I have setup a great sounded surround sound system at my own home. Every time I go to Best Buy I always want to check out the new Speakers, and systems they have set up in the presentation room. Everything always sounds so good there but you also have a lot of distractions and other sounds going on at the same time. That is why I enjoy watching movies at my own home or friends homes. When watching movies at my friend's home I can experience their set up and compare it to mine to see what I can do to make mine sound better. There are a lot of factors that do into what make a surround sound system sound good, everything from the audio cables, to the speakers, and even the receiver. The speakers are very important and you want to supply them with the best chance of sounding good which is why the Speaker wire and audio cables are very important as well.

I have heard a lot of different speakers in the past and I thought my Sony speakers were doing a great job, and they were at the time. It wasn't until I heard a friends Bose sound system until I realized those were the best speakers I have ever heard. I always thought as long as I have a good receiver and wires I should be good to go. But the speakers are just as important as anything else in your surround sound system, if not more. To this day the best speakers I have ever heard were Bose. The only problem with Bose is that they are probably one of the most expensive speakers on the market. When looking at speakers you want to be sure you are buying a set that you can afford. There are many other speakers other than Bose, which can give you excellent audio. Just because I think Bose are the best doesn't mean I will go out and buy a set of Bose. Do your research and find a good pair of speakers for a reasonable price is always the best option.

If you can afford Bose speakers they would not be a bad way to go, but, you can always find a better value. Scan online ads, newspaper ads, and deals on eBay. You will eventually find the perfect speakers for your surround sound system.

You can find great deals and information on the perfect cables for your surround system, including mini TOSlink cables and Coaxial Digital Audio Cables at http://www.audioopticalcable.com

Best Ceiling Speaker

Bose901 Choosing the Best Ceiling Speaker In Ceiling Speakers | Invisible Speakers. When it comes to choosing the best ceiling speaker, the choice is going to be different for each individual. One speaker can hardly incorporate all of the benefits, and something will require compromising. The common qualities of an excellent ceiling speaker include: great sound, wide frequency range, modern design, paintable surface, high-quality materials, easy installation, and low cost. Some of the best speaker manufacturers today are: Pyle, Bose, and Yamaha. Let's review the strongest points of each brand.

Pyle ceiling speakers are the cheapest. You can purchase units made by this manufacturer for as little as $10. Their equipment is made with high quality materials, offers great surround sound, and is easy to install. There aren't too many negatives to state for this brand, other than getting a malfunctioning component by accident. However, this can happen with any company, and the manufacturer is likely to replace the item that's out of order, at no cost for you.

The other excellent brand is Bose. They have a series of ceiling and wall speakers called "Virtually Invisible". It's true – these look almost invisible on any ceiling. They are flat and can be painted in any color. They also have very clear sound, quality materials, and they come at nice price. Their cost, however, is a tad higher than the Pyle products.

Yamaha has been one of the audio equipment leaders for decades. They offer some of the highest quality products that are built to last. However, their high brand awareness makes their products some of the most expensive. In order to choose the best ceiling speaker, read more customer reviews, and you will find what you are looking for at the lowest possible price.

Cheap speakers

Klipish Finding Uses For Cheap Speakers Surround Sound Speakers. If you want a great way to save money without compromising quality, consider buying cheap speakers to enhance those home theater systems that need a fresh new sound. If you are tired of straining to listen to the movies and music over the other sounds in your home, there is an option that will not cost a fortune. Cheap speakers can make your old stereo system sound new and save money that may be better used elsewhere in the budget.

Cheap in wall speakers is a great choice if you want to do a little work yourself and save money, keep from cluttering up the room with bulky speaker equipment and adding wires that can tangle and trip you. Mounting these speakers flush in the wall makes them less obvious than any other type of speaker. What is more, many of these in wall type speakers have a removable faceplate that can be painted to match the wall, thereby making it almost invisible. Placing these in wall speakers in all of the walls can contribute a surround sound experience without having to fork out several hundred dollars.

Cheap ceiling speakers provide a similar service. They mount right onto the ceiling, which means they are placed in an ideal spot to be out of the way and to flood the room with clear sound. Mounting speakers to the ceiling will keep that shelf space available for movies and music. The brackets usually can swivel and aim the speakers exactly where you want them to be to customize the sound system.

Buying a cheap home theater speaker system is an investment in relaxation. Cheap stereo speakers that pour soothing music around you would be a far better way to spend money than paying a psychologist's bill so that you can lie on a sofa and explain how you never get a chance to relax and enjoy yourself.

A home is a haven of rest, or should be, and to create that kind of relaxing environment, a lot of people put a lot of money into high priced stereo and home theater equipment. A great home theater system is a wonderful tool for relaxation and provides a means of escape from the daily grind. However, for those people who do not have a budget that allows them to invest substantial amounts in their home's auditory system, cheap speakers can be an alternative that gives them the best sound for their money.

If you are looking information about cheap speakers design, then you may want to search keywords such as cheap speakers.

Hearing Aids Comparisons

Hearing aids comparisons assist people who need devices to aid their ears due to a hearing loss. There are many causes of this loss and technology has enabled the victims to lead normal lives by coming up with different devices that suit different kinds of problems. The devices have inbuilt microphones that receive sound in form of electric signals, which they transmit to the amplifiers that turn them into sound and transmit the sound to the speakers. Instead of settling for a device blindly, various health organizations have come up with informative charts that can classify the devices depending with the function, size, cost, its installation and the lifestyle of the individual. This helps the buyers to get ideal devices that can fit their expenditure and the way of life.

Hearing aids types

The problems are numerous, from blockage of the canal to ear infections and the Hearing Aids comparisons target all of them. For that reason, there are many devices in the market. Behind the ear Hearing Aids have been in the market for the longest time. They are two-piece devices that consist of the part placed behind the person's ear and the other part in the canal. The one outside carries the microphone next to the amplifier therefore sending the sound signals to the speaker piece in the canal. This device is appropriate for the trivial problems to the average. The in the ear device is adjusted to fit the individual's ear. Most people prefer it because it is not as visible as the bigger devices.

In addition, Hearing Aids comparisons state that in the canal device has better sound clarity because the amplifier and the speaker are both in the canal. It does not have to block the canal because innovative means allow it to leave part of the canal open. Another option is the invisible hearing aids that only the users and their doctors know they are present. In essence, they go deep into the canal. This is an advantage from the clarity point of view. In addition, they are customized to fit the user and they do not block the whole canal.

How to find the best hearing aids

When going through the comparisons, a person should consider the need prompting the use of an ear device. This is the most important reason because the device is not for aesthetic reasons but for amplifying the sounds. On the same note, the buyer should look at the hearing aids cost because they vary from one manufacturer to another and in relation to the type of device. For instance, the Behind the Ear pieces range between $ 1,200 and $ 2,700, In the Canal around $1,300 to $2,750 while In the Ear pieces between $1,200 and $2,700.

Lastly, hearing aids comparisons also assist the users in getting devices that suit the work or their age and the disadvantages of each piece. For instance, the Behind the Ear piece is advisable for children because it fits well and offers comfort to the wearer. However, it malfunctions if the wearer sweats a lot. A person should also look at the reviews before purchasing the devices to know what the experts have learnt about the devices and the ones that suit particular problems.

Home Electronics Speaker

Here Are Some Tips to Bring Music to Your Ears : Home Electronics : speaker In Ceiling Speakers | BOSE.My friend Gerri would be the first to admit she knows next to nothing about stereo equipment. But Gerri is an expert shopper, and when she set out to buy speakers in the January sales last year, she instinctively hit on the right way to do it. Gerri fixed a modest budget of $500. She and her husband spent one Saturday afternoon trolling around the better stores in London, Ont. They narrowed the field to three speaker systems that fit their budget and sounded pretty good.

Then Gerri did something most shoppers wouldn't think of doing. She coaxed and bullied the stores into letting her take the speakers home for the weekend.

We set them up in her family room and auditioned them on Sunday afternoon. The room was littered with boxes and wires and the testing got a little confusing at times, but in the end a consensus was reached.

Gerri settled on a pair of Mission speakers. They sound great and she's happy with them.

Knowing how to shop for speakers is more than half the battle, but before you start looking and listening, make some preliminary decisions based on the size and characteristics of your room and your music listening style.

If you haven't bought speakers in a while, you'll find that some of the basic assumptions have changed.

For example, at one time the only way to get lots of bass sound from a loud speaker was to build a big box around it. That's no longer the case, thanks to innovative new speaker designs. Lots of medium-sized and even small systems are capable of reproducing a full spectrum of sound.

And smaller speakers still tend to cost less.

If keeping speakers as small and invisible as possible is a major priority, consider one of the new three-speaker systems. They include two small "satellite" speakers that reproduce the high and mid-range sounds, and a third box called a sub woofer for the bass.

You can put this sub woofer out of sight – on the floor behind a chair, for example. Bass or low-frequency sounds travel through furniture and your ear can't tell very well where they're coming from anyway.

Another factor to consider is how much sound you need the speaker to generate. If you have a big room or a room with a lot of sound-absorbing furnishings – heavy curtains, thick pile carpets – you'll need to get more acoustic output from the speakers than you would in a "live" environment with lots of hard surfaces.

That means either more amplification or, if you're stuck with an underpowered receiver, more sensitive speakers. A speaker's sensitivity is measured in decibel of sound pressure level (dB SPL). If the number is in the mid 80s, the speakers are relatively insensitive. When it's over 90, it means they generate a lot of sound with relatively little amplification.

Then there's the power handling capabilities of speakers. If you like to crank your music up, especially if it's rock music, you need speakers that can handle high levels of amplification more or less continuously. If the speakers are rated at 100 watts or more, it's probably safe to let 'er rip.

As a rule of thumb, if you want high sensitivity and high power handling, you'll probably have to go with bigger, more expensive speakers.

None of this so far addresses the quality of the sound generated by the speakers, only the quantity. Don't make the mistake of assuming that the more you pay the better the sound. Lots of relatively low-priced products outperform big-name, big-ticket speakers. And you can get great-sounding speakers for as little as $300 a pair.

Sound & Vision, a Canadian stereo magazine, runs an annual critic's choice feature that can give you tips on top performers in each price range. Incidentally, you'll find lots of critically acclaimed Canadian speakers with names like Paradigm, Mirage and PSB.

Then you really have to get out there and listen for yourself.

Taking the speakers home is the only way you'll know for sure what you're getting. They may sound quite different at home. After all, the store has different room acoustics – and a different receiver driving the speakers.

There's also only one way to effectively compare two speaker systems: connect them to the same receiver in the same room and switch back and forth between them while listening very carefully to the same piece of familiar music. It's called A-B testing.

If you're too embarrassed to ask to take speakers home for a test run or the stores say no, at least get them to demonstrate a few different systems that roughly fit your requirements and budget.

Make them take you into a sound proof room with home-like furnishings – most good stores have them. And insist on proper A-B testing of your short-listed candidates. Finally, take your own music so you know what to listen for.

And don't make any snap decisions. Relax and enjoy the process.

iPod Speakers

You love you little iPod, and the fun of toting all your favorite tunes around for your listening pleasure in a device the size of a playing card. You love knowing that you can turn up the volume on your iPod to your heart’s content with your headphones preventing anyone else from complaining about the sound.

But what you think would be even better is being able to forego the headphones from time to time, and use your iPod, with your customized selection of songs, like a regular CD or cassette player. Just tuck it in a corner somewhere, and have it fill a room with sound like an invisible choir. You wouldn’t have to remove your headphones every time the phone rings, or you want to have a conversation. Sounds good, but is it too good to be true?

Not any more. Thanks to the soaring success of the iPod, both Apple and some heavy-duty audio speaker manufacturers have developed iPod speakers, which will give you an alternative to the standard in-you-ear intimacy of the iPod’s headphones.

Apple’s iPod HiFi

If you can picture a center-channel speaker from a home theater system, with an iPod dock on top, you’ll have an idea of what the Apple IPod HiFi iPod speakers are all about. The Apple iPod HiFi portable, measuring 6.6 “ high by 17 “ wide X by 6.9” deep, and weighing 14.5 pounds without batteries or 16.7 pounds with six D batteries. And the Apple HiFi iPod speaker is equipped with a remote, so you can control the music selection without having to mess with your iPod.

But if the thought of nearly seventeen pound iPod speakers does not appeal, by all means give the Altec Lansing inMotion iPod speakers [http://www.knowipods.com/Articles/Ipod.php] a look. The inMotion iPod speakers will speak to the iPod enthusiast’s heart, weighing in at a mere fifteen ounces–yes, ounces–and measuring, when folded up, 8” wide by 5.4 inches deep and 1.2 inches thick. And don’t worry about the batteries adding a significant amount of weight; these iPod speakers will run for twenty-four hours straight on four AA batteries.

Uses For iPod Speakers

Either of these iPod speakers, or any of the several brands now available, can open your iPod use to any number of occasions, from party or outdoor outings to sharing audio books to letting you use your iPod to store and present information for school or job reports.

iPod speakers are the perfect solution to for those who are tired of keeping their great iPod listening experiences to themselves!
